Technology
I must admit my ambivalence towards technology. Some days I love it, other days I loathe it. When I think how much I rely on the internet- it enables me to do my work, I keep in touch with friends, i do research, i shop- I find it hard to imagine pre-internet days. However, when the server crashes or my connection cuts out and everything grinds to a halt I want to scream. I hate that I rely so much on it. Same can be said for my cell phone.
Lists
With the holiday season almost upon us and the ubiquitous gift lists being compiled I thought I'd share a list of a few of my favorite things. (In no particular order)
Harry Potter-
I know I know, some might be crying overexposure at this point and the evangelicals equate Mssr. Potter with the Devil but still I adore the boy wizard and his two best friends, Ron and Hermione. In fact I am watching Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire right now. Also, any book or series of books that gets kids interested in reading rates a 10 in my list.

Blank Page
Whenever I am faced with a blank page, my mind seems to go blank as well. All day long random thoughts and observations pop into my brain and I think, " I want to remember that, or So-so and will get such a kick out of that story." However when the time comes to record these flights of fancy, well they seem to flit away, evaporating like dreams upon waking. I can't really call it writers block- more like a mind wipe.
